L.A Frank's is well located in downtown Galt in Mill Race Park. It has plenty of outdoor seating. The set-up is well organized. The service was excellent. The price was right and the food was fresh and tasted delicious. Would highly recommend stopping by for lunch.
We ordered Pulled Pork Sandwich and baked potatoes, Damn!! They were addictively good and was served piping hot and fresh
Simple and elegance rolled into one. Food was great. I had the spicy southwest fries that comes with chipotle mayo and bacon bits. As for the ice cream try out the Grammy’s cupboard. Its simply an explosion of flavour that has vanilla flavoured ice cream with chocolate and graham piece. Simply Nice. The whole team was pretty helpful and nice. They have a really nice initiative in remembrance of Sean who used to work there. Really glad that there are people who truly care about.
Such a secret gem! Found this shop after visiting the african lion safari 10 mins away! The burgers were so good! One of the best, juicest and freshest tasting burgers I’ve had in a while! Hot dog was also very tasty but I highly recommend the classic burger! Great spot for a good bite on a sunny summer day
A Cambridge staple! Best fries in town. I love the unlimited topping choices hot dogs, burgers, and fries. It's always a treat when this food stand opens. It's purely outside seating. Sometimes lines can be long but the workers are speedy and food is always hot. I tried the cheese sauce for the first time, as a side to dip the fries. It was cold but delicious. I've never been disappointed here. I think my only complaint would be that the hot dog bun maybe was toasted and sat for a while, because it didn't feel toasted fresh. I had the saurkraut and bacon dog on this visit. I love that the saurkraut doesn't have caraway in it. That kind of saurkraut isn't my favourite. Give the bacon and kraut dog some mustard, and it's a tasty pairing.
This is my family's go to spot for a nice evening out. Not only is the food incredible and an endless selection of ice cream. We love the fact that we can walk the river and enjoy some outside time, in beautiful downtown Galt with our family.. It really sucks it's only seasonal but it makes the arrival of Spring even more exciting!
I've been coming here at least once a year since 2014, even after moving out of Cambridge. You'll never meet friendlier staff and find a "everyone knows everyone" atmosphere as you eat nearby. This is a place for classic, delicious, old school burgers, fries and shakes. I personally recommend their chili items because its a savoury, flavourful chili that actually has beans in it, unlike other places which slap on a meat sauce and call it a day. The lemonades are tart and tasty, but if you have a sweet tooth, you might want to try a shake or just get ice cream. I can't stress how much I love the place for what it brings to the city - affordable, and a fun place to spend time with friends and family. None of the food will disapppint you.
I took my family to L.A Franks this Labour Day weekend and I really enjoyed the experience. I highly recommend you try their "South West Burger". It's the best hamburger I've eaten in my life!
